Transferring your pension to OPTrust
Are you a new OPTrust member? Do you have service in another public sector pension plan? You may have the option to combine your pension service.
Transferring your OPTrust pension to another pension plan
Are you leaving your employer and joining another pension plan? You may be able to transfer your OPTrust pension to your new plan.
OPTrust / OPB transfers
If you work for an employer that participates in both the OPSEU Pension Plan and the Public Service Pension Plan, you may need to consider what happens to your pension when you change jobs.
Deferred pension or commuted value transfer?
If you leave the Plan before retirement, you may need to choose between leaving your pension with OPTrust as a deferred pension or transferring its commuted value to a locked-in retirement savings vehicle.
